Scharlau, a frequent visitor to La Crosse, was stunned a while back when he saw a man walking down 11th Street with hedge clippers, killing squirrels. There were several on-lookers but Scharlau interviewed the man before leaving the scene of this horrible sight. The man in his early 20s explained, "See, without my drugs I go crazy and begin to think that small animals are bushes that need to be trimmed." No further questions were asked. Expect a price increase soon. |
